Beauty – an installation art piece by Geraldine Pilgrim and built on site by the Aquatic Design Centre
Geraldine Pilgrim is know for creating powerful installations and performances interlinking with historic houses, buildings and landscapes. Beacons Fell Lancashire commissioned this work to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the forest of Bowland being an area of outstanding Natural Beauty.
Built on site by the Aquatic Design Centre, the installation took a lot of planning and hard work, as all the materials, including the very large individual sheet glass had to be carried into the forest and fitted on-site. You can still visit and view this amazing piece of work. It please follow the signs to Beacon Fell Country Park Visitor Centre. Near the Visitor Centre, look for the stone that marks the start of the trail.
